The Christian year is full of special days. Every day we celebrate the "heavenly birthdays" of men and women whose life and death serves as an example to us. We also remember groups and classes of living people, such as those preparing for the ministry, and special events in the life of the Church.
The lives of the saints and history of Church holidays are often already
well-summarized elsewhere on the Web. Occasionally, however, some of us
have written about saints or holidays we find especially meaningful, and
